Recently stayed at the Bell Hotel for a wedding and had a fantastic experience. The room was spacious, with beautiful views of Market Place from two large windows. The comfortable chairs, ample storage, and large TV were all added conveniences. Despite being above a pub, our room was remarkably quiet. The location was ideal, and the added bonus of car parking was much appreciated. Breakfast was superb, especially the Full English, and we also enjoyed a delicious and reasonably priced meal in the bar. The building had a charming and old-world feel, with its uneven floors and low ceilings, and the courtyard at the back was a lovely spot to relax.
Would recommend this hotel.

The hotel's ideal location and car parking were such a bonus for my travel purposes. The superb breakfast, especially the Full English, was a delicious way to start the day. I also enjoyed a very good evening meal in the bar, and the prices were quite reasonable. The excellent ales were a great addition to my dining experience. The staff at the Bell Hotel were incredibly friendly and couldn't have been more helpful and willing to please. The building itself was old and quaint, with uneven floors, low ceilings, and lots of character in its little nooks and crannies. I especially loved the courtyard at the back, which was particularly lovely in the sunshine.
I highly recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at the Bell Hotel for a few days with my dog. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even towards our furry friend. The room had a quirky charm with low beams and an uneven floor, adding to its character. The meals at the hotel were lovely, especially their delicious burgers. The atmosphere in the bar, with a cozy fire, was truly welcoming. The central location made it convenient for exploring the town and nearby walking trails.

The character of this hotel is absolutely charming. With its wonderful old coaching inn style, complete with fireplaces and unique architectural features, it truly feels like stepping back in time. The location on the Market Square, established centuries ago, adds to the historic atmosphere of the place. The staff are incredibly pleasant and helpful, making you feel right at home. Plus, the rooms are equipped with all the basic amenities you need, including a bathtub with a shower that has a handy alarm reset for the TV. And let's not forget the included breakfast, which is a great way to start the day.
All was more than okay, nothing to improve here!

The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. The hotel was located close to key tourist attractions that we wanted to visit. We appreciated the easy access to public transportation.
The hotel was not up to our expectations. Our room was not clean and the decor was outdated.

The staff were eager to please and even helped us book taxis to and from the wedding we attended. The bed was very comfortable and our room was surprisingly quiet, despite being above a pub. the location of the hotel was very good, making it easy for us to explore the city.
There were a few negative aspects to our stay. The stairs were quite steep, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues.

Our stay in this city centre hotel, located in Market Square established for centuries, was pleasant. The staff were friendly and the meals were tasty and at reasonable prices. The room, though small, was clean and had old-world charm. The restaurant had a cosy ambiance and served excellent food. the hotel's location allowed for easy access to the town's attractions and local amenities.
The hotel's fire safety protocols were inadequate, which caused a lot of distress to guests when the alarm went off in the middle of the night.

We really enjoyed our stay at this historical hotel in the heart of an old market square. The hotel facilities were great with free parking and interesting rooms full of character and quirks. We also appreciated the efficient and tasty breakfast service provided by the hotel staff. Additionally, the location of the hotel was very convenient, allowing us easy access to nearby attractions such as the beautiful Cotswolds, the vibrant city of Oxford and the charming Bath. We found the staff at this hotel to be responsive and pleasant, making our stay even more enjoyable.
No complaints.

The hotel's location was also good for exploring the surrounding area by car. Plus, the Christmas decorations were really lovely.
The room was less than ideal. The bed was uncomfortable and the noise from the hallway and street outside kept us awake at night.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast options were diverse and delicious, offering a great start to the day. The hotel's central location allowed easy access to nearby attractions and amenities, making it convenient for exploring the area.
The hotel appeared a bit worn out and in need of some upkeep. This did not significantly detract from our stay, but it was noticeable.
